I was one of those girls. My parents divorced when I was 12. I always say that my parents' divorce was the best gift they ever gave me because it is the the one thing that will prevent me from evert putting my kids through the hell I went through. Once a child of divorce, always a child of divorce. It defined and shaped my life in more ways than I can count. I am incredibly grateful for my life, but much of that comes from my decision to claim and choose my happiness despite the fact that circumstances have not always been ideal. Kristin, I believe your work is incredibly important. And I too see the collateral damage in teenage girls that results from divorce. As the mother of a teenage son, I see the way so many girls coming from divorced homes are drawn to him. Their mothers are not monitoring their social media usage at all.
